Today was a full day for our family and a couple of others: the Nielsens, Meyers, and Looneys. 3 of the four families had family members on the worship team (the Looneys had two!), so we were at church for both services. Stacy did special music solo to “Hungry” and did a wonderful job.

A difficult design assignment

Every once in a while I get a request for a graphic in which I scratch my head and say, “How in the world is that ever going to work?”
This was one of them. For our upcoming series, “Anchored,” based on the book of Hebrews, I was asked to show the concept of “anchored” and [...]
Organizing prayer requests on the iPhone

Well, this probably is not the most typical of posts you would see about the iPhone, but since I love to organize, and I love to pray, and I love my iPhone…. seems like it would be a good topic! And since just today I discovered how to take screenshots of my iPhone (press home [...]

It is hard to believe my baby girl has now turned 12! Time has just flown on by!

My sister posted this on her blog and I thought it was so interesting I had to write about it too. Being a lover of watermelon (my favorite fruit!), I am quite amused to find that there are square watermelons!
Apparently they are grown in Japan. Those Japanese people sure are creative!
Getting control of life again

This has been a rough week for me, for a number of reasons:
Fell sick over a week ago, took a long time to recover, making me fall behind.
Went to a conference for two days that same week – more time away, and more falling behind.
Preached that Sunday – due to falling behind, only got 2 [...]
Wedding

This weekend our family went down to the Bay Area. Albert’s sister and bro-in-law used some points to get us a hotel room at the very nice Palo Alto Westin Hotel, a four-star hotel. Wow! Thanks, Jack and Aud!
We got to watch the Olympics (for the first time, other than the tape we saw of [...]
