Today Daniel said, “I know what a hillock is.”
He and Albert said, “It’s a little hill.”
Then Albert added, “It’s what keeps a hill from being stolen.”
Silence. Then the kids bust out laughing.
I was amazed they even knew what a hillock was!

Last night Albert put black garbage bags on our curtains and I think I slept a little better. I got about 6.5-7 hours of sleep compared to the usual less-than-six.
